Esclanyà Park
Esclanyà Park
Begur
A stream, a path, a walk between fields, the recovery of an abandoned raft, dry stone walls, native vegetation, become protagonists recovered from a not too distant past of the Empordà landscape. It is the pretext for the consolidation of a green axis that connects the residential area of the small center of Esclanyà with its old town.
Letting ourselves be carried away by an almost dreamlike vision, we turn the Esclanyà stream into a lively landscape coherent with the surroundings, a green meadow with its own geography delimited by wooden posts
We look at the wooden poles that guide the landscape of the nearby fields and that delimit private or grass areas, and incorporate them into the project. This way, the route that leads the proposal is accompanied by a series of vertical posts, with different functions according to the position they occupy, according to the distance that separates them or according to their height. The wooden posts, in addition to mark the tour guidelines, create children’s games, mazes, mikados, solve the lighting, the fountain, the bollard, the railings…
The vegetation helps to definitely integrate the new space into the environment. The native vegetation, such as holm oaks, cypresses and pine trees, is preserved. The grass, the reeds and the soft pavements of earth or sand merge with the rest of the textures that make up the landscape.
